5EMA BollingerBand Nifty Stock Scanner
What ?
We all heard about (well: over-heard) 5-EMA strategy. Which falls into the broader category of mean reversal type of trading setup.
What is mean reversal?
Price (or any time series, in fact) tries to follow a mean . Whenever price diverges from the mean it tries to meet it back.
It is empirically observed by some traders (I honestly don't know who first time observed it) that in Indian context specially, 5 Exponential Moving Average (5-EMA) works pretty good as that mean.
So whenever price moves away from that 5-EMA, it ultimately comes back and attain total nirvana :) Means: if price moved way higher than the 5EMA without touching it, then price will correct to meet it's 5-EMA and if price moved way lower, it will be uplifted to meet it's 5-EMA. Funny - but it works !
Now there are already enough social media coverage on this 5-EMA strategy/setup. Even TradingView has some excellent work done on these setups. Kudos to all those great souls.
So when we came to know about this, we were thinking what we should do for the community. Because it is well cover topic (specially in Indian context). Also, there are public indicators.
Then we thought why not come up with a scanner which will scan all the Nifty-50 constituent stocks and find out on the fly, real-time which all stocks are matching this 5-EMA setup and causing a Buy/Sell trade recommendation.
Hence here we are with the first version of our first scanner on the 5EMA setup (well it has some more masala than merely a 5-EMA setup).
Why?
Parts of why is already covered up.
Now instead of blindly following 5-EMA setup, we added the Bollinger band as well. Again: it's also not new. There are enough coverage in social media about the 5-EMA+BB strategy/setup. We mercilessly borrowed from all of these.
Suppose you have an indicator.
Now you apply the indicator in your chart. And then you need to (rock) and roll through your watchlist of Nifty-50 stocks (note: TradingView has no default watchlist of Nifty-50 stock by default - you have to create one custom watchlist to list all manually) to find out which all are matching the setup, need to take a note about the trade recomendations (entry, SL, target) and other stuffs like VWAP, Volume, volatility (Bollinger Band Width).
Not any more.
This scanner will track all the Nifty-50 stocks (technically: 40 stocks other than Banking stocks) and provide which one to Buy or Sell (if any), what's the entry, SL, target, where is the VWAP of the day, what's the picture in volume (high, low, rising, falling) and the implied volatility (using Bolling band width). Also it has a naive alerting mechanism as well.
In fact the code is there to monitor the (Future) OI also and all the OI drama (OI vs price and all the 4 stuffs like long build up, long unwinding, short covering, short buildup). But unfortunately, due to some limitations of the TradingView (that one can not monitor more than 40 `ta.security` call) we have to comment out the code. If you wish you can monitor only 20 stocks and enable the OI monitoring also (20 for stocks + 20 for their OI monitoring .. total 40 `ta.security` call).
How?
To know the divergence from 5-EMA we just check if the high of the candle (on closing) is below the 5-EMA. Then we check if the closing is inside the Bollinger Band (BB). That's a Buy signal. SL: low of the candle, T: middle and higher BB.
Just opposite for selling. 5-EMA low should be above 5-EMA and closing should be inside BB (lesser than BB higher level). That's a Sell signal. SL: high of the candle, T: middle and lower BB.
Along with we compare the current bar's volume with the last-20 bar VWMA (volume weighted moving average) to determine if the volume is high or low.
Present bar's volume is compared with the previous bar's volume to know if it's rising or falling.
VWAP is also determined using `ta.vwap` built-in support of TradingView.
The Bolling Band width is also notified, along with whether it is rising or falling (comparing with previous candle).
Simple, but effective.
Customization
As usual the EMA setup (5 default), the BB setup (20 SMA with 1.5 standard deviation), we provided option wherther to include or exclude BB role in the 5-EMA setup (as we found out there are two schools of thought .. some people use BB some don't. Lets make all happy :))
We also provide options to choose other symbols using Settings if they wish so. We have the default 40 non banking Nifty stocks (why non-banking? - Bank Nifty is in ATH :) .. enough :)). But if user wishes can monitor others too (provided the symbol is there in TradingView).
Although we strongly recommend the timeframe as 30 minutes , you can choose what's fit you most.
The output of the scanner is a table. By default the table is placed in the right-bottom (as we are most comfortable with that). However you can change per your wish. We have the option to choose that.
What is unique in it ?
This is more of an indicator. This is a scanner (of Nifty-50 stocks). So you can apply (our recommendation is in 30m timeframe) it to any chart (does not matter which chart it is) and it will show every 30 mins (which is also configurable) which all stocks (along with trade levels) to Buy and Sell according to the setup.
It will ease your trading activity.
You can concentrate only on the execution, the filtering you can leave it to this one.
Limitations
There is a build in limitation of the TradingView platform is that one can call only upto 40 securities API. Not beyond that. So naturally we are constraint by that. Otherwise we could monitor 190 Nifty F&O stocks itself.
30m is the recommended timeframe. In very lower (say 5m) this script tends to go out of heap (out of memory). Please note that also.
How to trade using this?
Put any chart in 30m (recommended) timeframe.
Apply this screener from Indicators (shortcut to launch indicators is just type / in your keyboard).
This will provide the Buy (shown in green color) or Sell (shown in red color) recommendations in a table, at every 30m candle closing.
Note the volume and BB width as well.
Wait for at least 2 5-minutes candles to close above/below the recommended level .
Take the trade with the SL and target mentioned.

Multiple EMAAn exponential moving average (EMA) is a type of moving average (MA) that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points. The exponential moving average is also referred to as the exponentially weighted moving average. An exponentially weighted moving average reacts more significantly to recent price changes than a simple moving average (SMA), which applies an equal weight to all observations in the period.
The EMA is a moving average that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points.
Like all moving averages, this technical indicator is used to produce buy and sell signals based on crossovers and divergences from the historical average.
Traders often use several different EMA lengths, such as 10-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages.
Points to remember:
Exponential moving averages are more sensitive to the recent price
EMA can signal good trades, but it can also keep you out of bad trades
EMA offers dynamic support and resistance levels, which is good for trailing Stop Loss
The EMA slope shape has hidden secrets
The rules for the EMA trading strategy can be modified to fit your own trading needs. We don’t claim this to be hard rules, but they are good on their own to make for a great trading strategy. Make sure you first test out the EMA strategy on a paper trading account before you risk any of your hard-earned money
Strong Potential Asset Strategy (EMA + EMA)During experiments with the market, I found out that simple strategy is the best solution. However, I decided to bring some of my ideas on the 2 MA strategy.
- Instead of SMA - there will be 2 EMA, so the strategy will be more sensitive to the latest data;
- There is an option, which regulates the difference between those 2 EMAs, this should protect us from false trend enter;
- There is an option "Exit tolerance", which regulates how much could be the difference between 2 EMAs after crossover. This supposed to protect us from the false trend exit.
Hope this will be helpful :)
MACD oscillator with EMA alert version 4HThis is the study/indicator alert version of the macd + ema strategy.
The strategy details are the following :
Is a simple, yet efficient strategy, which is made from a combination of an oscillator and a moving average.

Overnight Positioning w EMA - Strategy [presentTrading]I've recently started researching Market Timing strategies, and it’s proving to be quite an interesting area of study. The idea of predicting optimal times to enter and exit the market, based on historical data and various indicators, brings a dynamic edge to trading. Additionally, it is integrated with the 3commas bot for automated trade execution.
I'm still working on it. Welcome to share your point of view.
█ Introduction and How it is Different
The "Overnight Positioning with EMA " is designed to capitalize on market inefficiencies during the overnight trading period. This strategy takes a position shortly before the market closes and exits shortly after it opens the following day. What sets this strategy apart is the integration of an optional Exponential Moving Average (EMA) filter, which ensures that trades are aligned with the underlying trend. The strategy provides flexibility by allowing users to select between different global market sessions, such as the US, Asia, and Europe.
It is integrated with the 3commas bot for automated trade execution and has a built-in mechanism to avoid holding positions over the weekend by force-closing positions on Fridays before the market closes.
BTCUSD 20 mins Performance
█ Strategy, How it Works: Detailed Explanation
The core logic of this strategy is simple: enter trades before market close and exit them after market open, taking advantage of potential price movements during the overnight period. Here’s how it works in more detail:
🔶 Market Timing
The strategy determines the local market open and close times based on the selected market (US, Asia, Europe) and adjusts entry and exit points accordingly. The entry is triggered a specific number of minutes before market close, and the exit is triggered a specific number of minutes after market open.
🔶 EMA Filter
The strategy includes an optional EMA filter to help ensure that trades are taken in the direction of the prevailing trend. The EMA is calculated over a user-defined timeframe and length. The entry is only allowed if the closing price is above the EMA (for long positions), which helps to filter out trades that might go against the trend.
The EMA formula:
```
EMA(t) = +
```
Where:
- EMA(t) is the current EMA value
- Close(t) is the current closing price
- n is the length of the EMA
- EMA(t-1) is the previous period's EMA value
🔶 Entry Logic
The strategy monitors the market time in the selected timezone. Once the current time reaches the defined entry period (e.g., 20 minutes before market close), and the EMA condition is satisfied, a long position is entered.
- Entry time calculation:
```
entryTime = marketCloseTime - entryMinutesBeforeClose * 60 * 1000
```
🔶 Exit Logic
Exits are triggered based on a specified time after the market opens. The strategy checks if the current time is within the defined exit period (e.g., 20 minutes after market open) and closes any open long positions.
- Exit time calculation:
exitTime = marketOpenTime + exitMinutesAfterOpen * 60 * 1000
🔶 Force Close on Fridays
To avoid the risk of holding positions over the weekend, the strategy force-closes any open positions 5 minutes before the market close on Fridays.
- Force close logic:
isFriday = (dayofweek(currentTime, marketTimezone) == dayofweek.friday)
█ Trade Direction
This strategy is designed exclusively for long trades. It enters a long position before market close and exits the position after market open. There is no shorting involved in this strategy, and it focuses on capturing upward momentum during the overnight session.
█ Usage
This strategy is suitable for traders who want to take advantage of price movements that occur during the overnight period without holding positions for extended periods. It automates entry and exit times, ensuring that trades are placed at the appropriate times based on the market session selected by the user. The 3commas bot integration also allows for automated execution, making it ideal for traders who wish to set it and forget it. The strategy is flexible enough to work across various global markets, depending on the trader's preference.
█ Default Settings
1. entryMinutesBeforeClose (Default = 20 minutes):
This setting determines how many minutes before the market close the strategy will enter a long position. A shorter duration could mean missing out on potential movements, while a longer duration could expose the position to greater price fluctuations before the market closes.
2. exitMinutesAfterOpen (Default = 20 minutes):
This setting controls how many minutes after the market opens the position will be exited. A shorter exit time minimizes exposure to market volatility at the open, while a longer exit time could capture more of the overnight price movement.
3. emaLength (Default = 100):
The length of the EMA affects how the strategy filters trades. A shorter EMA (e.g., 50) reacts more quickly to price changes, allowing more frequent entries, while a longer EMA (e.g., 200) smooths out price action and only allows entries when there is a stronger underlying trend.
The effect of using a longer EMA (e.g., 200) would be:
```
EMA(t) = +
```
4. emaTimeframe (Default = 240):
This is the timeframe used for calculating the EMA. A higher timeframe (e.g., 360) would base entries on longer-term trends, while a shorter timeframe (e.g., 60) would respond more quickly to price movements, potentially allowing more frequent trades.
5. useEMA (Default = true):
This toggle enables or disables the EMA filter. When enabled, trades are only taken when the price is above the EMA. Disabling the EMA allows the strategy to enter trades without any trend validation, which could increase the number of trades but also increase risk.
6. Market Selection (Default = US):
This setting determines which global market's open and close times the strategy will use. The selection of the market affects the timing of entries and exits and should be chosen based on the user's preference or geographic focus.
CCI+EMA Strategy with Percentage or ATR TP/SL [Alifer]This is a momentum strategy based on the Commodity Channel Index (CCI), with the aim of entering long trades in oversold conditions and short trades in overbought conditions.
Optionally, you can enable an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) to only allow trading in the direction of the larger trend. Please note that the strategy will not plot the EMA. If you want, for visual confirmation, you can add to the chart an Exponential Moving Average as a second indicator, with the same settings used in the strategy’s built-in EMA.
The strategy also allows you to set internal Stop Loss and Take Profit levels, with the option to choose between Percentage-based TP/SL or ATR-based TP/SL.
The strategy can be adapted to multiple assets and timeframes:
Pick an asset and a timeframe
Zoom back as far as possible to identify meaningful positive and negative peaks of the CCI
Set Overbought and Oversold at a rough average of the peaks you identified
Adjust TP/SL according to your risk management strategy

CAUTIONARY WARNING
Please note that this is a complex trading strategy that involves several inputs and conditions. Before using it in live trading, it is highly recommended to thoroughly test it on historical data and use risk management techniques to safeguard your capital. After backtesting, it's also highly recommended to perform a first live test with a small amount. Additionally, it's essential to have a good understanding of the strategy's behavior and potential risks. Only risk what you can afford to lose .
USED INDICATORS
1 — COMMODITY CHANNEL INDEX (CCI)
The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a technical analysis indicator used to measure the momentum of an asset. It was developed by Donald Lambert and first published in Commodities magazine (now Futures) in 1980. Despite its name, the CCI can be used in any market and is not just for commodities. The CCI compares current price to average price over a specific time period. The indicator fluctuates above or below zero, moving into positive or negative territory. While most values, approximately 75%, fall between -100 and +100, about 25% of the values fall outside this range, indicating a lot of weakness or strength in the price movement.
The CCI was originally developed to spot long-term trend changes but has been adapted by traders for use on all markets or timeframes. Trading with multiple timeframes provides more buy or sell signals for active traders. Traders often use the CCI on the longer-term chart to establish the dominant trend and on the shorter-term chart to isolate pullbacks and generate trade signals.
CCI is calculated with the following formula:
(Typical Price - Simple Moving Average) / (0.015 x Mean Deviation)
Some trading strategies based on CCI can produce multiple false signals or losing trades when conditions turn choppy. Implementing a stop-loss strategy can help cap risk, and testing the CCI strategy for profitability on your market and timeframe is a worthy first step before initiating trades.
2 — AVERAGE TRUE RANGE (ATR)
The Average True Range (ATR) is a technical analysis indicator that measures market volatility by calculating the average range of price movements in a financial asset over a specific period of time. The ATR was developed by J. Welles Wilder Jr. and introduced in his book “New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems” in 1978.
The ATR is calculated by taking the average of the true range over a specified period. The true range is the greatest of the following:
The difference between the current high and the current low.
The difference between the previous close and the current high.
The difference between the previous close and the current low.
The ATR can be used to set stop-loss orders. One way to use ATR for stop-loss orders is to multiply the ATR by a factor (such as 2 or 3) and subtract it from the entry price for long positions or add it to the entry price for short positions. This can help traders set stop-loss orders that are more adaptive to market volatility.
3 — EXPONENTIAL MOVING AVERAGE (EMA)
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a type of moving average (MA) that places a greater weight and significance on the most recent data points.
The EMA is calculated by taking the average of the true range over a specified period. The true range is the greatest of the following:
The difference between the current high and the current low.
The difference between the previous close and the current high.
The difference between the previous close and the current low.
The EMA can be used by traders to produce buy and sell signals based on crossovers and divergences from the historical average. Traders often use several different EMA lengths, such as 10-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages.
The formula for calculating EMA is as follows:
Compute the Simple Moving Average (SMA).
Calculate the multiplier for weighting the EMA.
Calculate the current EMA using the following formula:
EMA = Closing price x multiplier + EMA (previous day) x (1-multiplier)
STRATEGY EXPLANATION
1 — INPUTS AND PARAMETERS
The strategy uses the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) with additional options for an Exponential Moving Average (EMA), Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL).
length : The period length for the CCI calculation.
overbought : The overbought level for the CCI. When CCI crosses above this level, it may signal a potential short entry.
oversold : The oversold level for the CCI. When CCI crosses below this level, it may signal a potential long entry.
useEMA : A boolean input to enable or disable the use of Exponential Moving Average (EMA) as a filter for long and short entries.
emaLength : The period length for the EMA if it is used.
2 — CCI CALCULATION
The CCI indicator is calculated using the following formula:
(src - ma) / (0.015 * ta.dev(src, length))
src is the typical price (average of high, low, and close) and ma is the Simple Moving Average (SMA) of src over the specified length.
3 — EMA CALCULATION
If the useEMA option is enabled, an EMA is calculated with the given emaLength .
4 — TAKE PROFIT AND STOP LOSS METHODS
The strategy offers two methods for TP and SL calculations: percentage-based and ATR-based.
tpSlMethod_percentage : A boolean input to choose the percentage-based method.
tpSlMethod_atr : A boolean input to choose the ATR-based method.
5 — PERCENTAGE-BASED TP AND SL
If tpSlMethod_percentage is chosen, the strategy calculates the TP and SL levels based on a percentage of the average entry price.
tp_percentage : The percentage value for Take Profit.
sl_percentage : The percentage value for Stop Loss.
6 — ATR-BASED TP AND SL
If tpSlMethod_atr is chosen, the strategy calculates the TP and SL levels based on Average True Range (ATR).
atrLength : The period length for the ATR calculation.
atrMultiplier : A multiplier applied to the ATR to set the SL level.
riskRewardRatio : The risk-reward ratio used to calculate the TP level.
7 — ENTRY CONDITIONS
The strategy defines two conditions for entering long and short positions based on CCI and, optionally, EMA.
Long Entry: CCI crosses below the oversold level, and if useEMA is enabled, the closing price should be above the EMA.
Short Entry: CCI crosses above the overbought level, and if useEMA is enabled, the closing price should be below the EMA.
8 — TP AND SL LEVELS
The strategy calculates the TP and SL levels based on the chosen method and updates them dynamically.
For the percentage-based method, the TP and SL levels are calculated as a percentage of the average entry price.
For the ATR-based method, the TP and SL levels are calculated using the ATR value and the specified multipliers.
9 — EXIT CONDITIONS
The strategy defines exit conditions for both long and short positions.
If there is a long position, it will be closed either at TP or SL levels based on the chosen method.
If there is a short position, it will be closed either at TP or SL levels based on the chosen method.
Additionally, positions will be closed if CCI crosses back above oversold in long positions or below overbought in short positions.
10 — PLOTTING
The script plots the CCI line along with overbought and oversold levels as horizontal lines.
The CCI line is colored red when above the overbought level, green when below the oversold level, and white otherwise.
The shaded region between the overbought and oversold levels is plotted as well.
Custom EMA StrategyThis script combines 3 EMAs with Bollinger Bands to build a trend based trading strategy. The 3 EMAs (I, II and III ) default lengthes come from one of the Fibonacci Phi^3/2 sub series (17, 72 and 305), but can be changed to any values, particularly to the traditionally used 20, 50 and 200. Bollinger Band length is set to the same length as EMA I. Up to my knowledge, Fibonacci Phi^3/2 sub series lengthes were first proposed by Bo Williams.
Buy Recommendations happen when src (close) > EMA I > EMA II, EMA I angle > 0 degree, EMA II angle > -1 degree and EMA III angle > -1 degree. My simulations have show that -1 degree usage results in better returns than zero degree.
Top Buy Recommendations happen when, besides Buy recommendation conditions are met, src (close) > HBand, the Bollinger Band High Band.
Sell Recommendations come in 3 flavors: Short Term (close < EMA I), Medium Term (close < EMA2) and Long Term ( EMA I < EMA II).
Angle calculation is performed by calculating the "normalized" tangent over a delta interval. Normalization is required to make the angle independent of the price range.
G-Channel with EMA StrategyThe G-Channel is a custom channel with an upper (a), lower (b), and average (avg) line. These lines are dynamically calculated based on the current and previous closing prices, using the length input (default 100) to smooth the values:
Upper Line (a): This is the maximum value of the current price or the previous upper value, adjusted by the difference between the upper and lower lines divided by the length.
Lower Line (b): This is the minimum value of the current price or the previous lower value, similarly adjusted by the difference between the upper and lower lines.
The average line (avg) is simply the midpoint between the upper and lower lines. The G-Channel signals trend direction:
Bullish Condition: The system looks for the condition when the price crosses over the lower line (b), indicating a potential upward trend.
Bearish Condition: When the price crosses under the upper line (a), it signals a potential downward trend.
Exponential Moving Average (EMA)
The strategy also incorporates an EMA with a default length of 200. The EMA serves as a trend filter to determine whether the market is trending upward or downward:
Price below EMA: Indicates a bearish trend.
Price above EMA: Indicates a bullish trend.
Buy/Sell Conditions
The strategy generates buy or sell signals based on the interaction between the G-Channel signals and the price relative to the EMA:
Buy Signal: The strategy triggers a buy when:
A bullish condition (recent crossover of price over the lower G-Channel line) is detected.
The price is below the EMA, indicating that despite the recent bullish signal, the market might still be undervalued or in a temporary downturn.
Sell Signal: The strategy triggers a sell when:
A bearish condition (recent crossunder of price below the upper G-Channel line) is detected.
The price is above the EMA, suggesting that the market might be overextended and poised for a downturn.
Visualization
The strategy plots:
The upper, lower, and average lines of the G-Channel, with the average line colored based on bullish (green) or bearish (red) conditions.
The EMA (orange) line to provide context on the general trend direction.
Markers for Buy and Sell signals to visually indicate the strategy's entry points.
Strategy Execution
When a buy or sell signal is detected:
Buy Entry: If the bullish condition and price < EMA condition are met, a long (buy) position is opened.
Sell Entry: If the bearish condition and price > EMA condition are met, a short (sell) position is opened.
Purpose
This strategy aims to catch price reversals at critical points (when the price moves through the G-Channel) while filtering trades using the EMA to avoid entering during unfavorable market trends.
Long EMA Strategy with Advanced Exit OptionsThis strategy is designed for traders seeking a trend-following system with a focus on precision and adaptability.
**Core Strategy Concept**
The essence of this strategy lies in use of Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) to identify potential long (buy) positions based on the relative positions of short-term, medium-term, and long-term EMAs. The use of EMAs is a classic yet powerful approach to trend detection, as these indicators smooth out price data over time, emphasizing the direction of recent price movements and potentially signaling the beginning of new trends.
**Customizable Parameters**
- **EMA Periods**: Users can define the periods for three EMAs - long-term, medium-term, and short-term - allowing for a tailored approach to capture trends based on individual trading styles and market conditions.
- **Volatility Filter**: An optional Average True Range (ATR)-based volatility filter can be toggled on or off. When activated, it ensures that trades are only entered when market volatility exceeds a user-defined threshold, aiming to filter out entries during low-volatility periods which are often characterized by indecisive market movements.
- **Trailing Stop Loss**: A trailing stop loss mechanism, expressed as a percentage of the highest price achieved since entry, provides a dynamic way to manage risk by allowing profits to run while cutting losses.
- **EMA Exit Condition**: This advanced exit option enables closing positions when the short-term EMA crosses below the medium-term EMA, serving as a signal that the immediate trend may be reversing.
- **Close Below EMA Exit**: An additional exit condition, which is disabled by default, allows positions to be closed if the price closes below a user-selected EMA. This provides an extra layer of flexibility and risk management, catering to traders who prefer to exit positions based on specific EMA thresholds.
**Operational Mechanics**
Upon activation, the strategy evaluates the current price in relation to the set EMAs. A long position is considered when the current price is above the long-term EMA, and the short-term EMA is above the medium-term EMA. This setup aims to identify moments where the price momentum is strong and likely to continue.
The strategy's versatility is further enhanced by its optional settings:
- The **Volatility Filter** adjusts the sensitivity of the strategy to market movements, potentially improving the quality of the entries during volatile market conditions.
The Average True Range (ATR) is a key component of this filter, providing a measure of market volatility by calculating the average range between the high and low prices over a specified number of periods. Here's how you can adjust the volatility filter settings for various market conditions, focusing on filtering out low-volatility markets:
Setting Examples for Volatility Filter
1. High Volatility Markets (e.g., Cryptocurrencies, Certain Forex Pairs):
ATR Periods: 14 (default)
ATR Multiplier: Setting the multiplier to a lower value, such as 1.0 or 1.2, can be beneficial in high-volatility markets. This sensitivity allows the strategy to react to volatility changes more quickly, ensuring that you're entering trades during periods of significant movement.
2. Medium Volatility Markets (e.g., Major Equity Indices, Medium-Volatility Forex Pairs):
ATR Periods: 14 (default)
ATR Multiplier: A multiplier of 1.5 (default) is often suitable for medium volatility markets. It provides a balanced approach, ensuring that the strategy filters out low-volatility conditions without being overly restrictive.
3. Low Volatility Markets (e.g., Some Commodities, Low-Volatility Forex Pairs):
ATR Periods: Increasing the ATR period to 20 or 25 can smooth out the volatility measure, making it less sensitive to short-term fluctuations. This adjustment helps in focusing on more significant trends in inherently stable markets.
ATR Multiplier: Raising the multiplier to 2.0 or even 2.5 increases the threshold for volatility, effectively filtering out low-volatility conditions. This setting ensures that the strategy only triggers trades during periods of relatively higher volatility, which are more likely to result in significant price movements.
How to Use the Volatility Filter for Low-Volatility Markets
For traders specifically interested in filtering out low-volatility markets, the key is to adjust the ATR Multiplier to a higher level. This adjustment increases the threshold required for the market to be considered sufficiently volatile for trade entries. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Adjust the ATR Multiplier: Increase the ATR Multiplier to create a higher volatility threshold. A multiplier of 2.0 to 2.5 is a good starting point for very low-volatility markets.
Fine-Tune the ATR Periods: Consider lengthening the ATR calculation period if you find that the strategy is still entering trades in undesirable low-volatility conditions. A longer period provides a more averaged-out measure of volatility, which might better suit your needs.
Monitor and Adjust: Volatility is not static, and market conditions can change. Regularly review the performance of your strategy in the context of current market volatility and adjust the settings as necessary.
Backtest in Different Conditions: Before applying the strategy live, backtest it across different market conditions with your adjusted settings. This process helps ensure that your approach to filtering low-volatility conditions aligns with your trading objectives and risk tolerance.
By fine-tuning the volatility filter settings according to the specific characteristics of the market you're trading in, you can enhance the performance of this strategy
- The **Trailing Stop Loss** and **EMA Exit Conditions** provide two layers of exit strategies, focusing on capital preservation and profit maximization.
**Visualizations**
For clarity and ease of use, the strategy plots the three EMAs and, if enabled, the ATR threshold on the chart. These visual cues not only aid in decision-making but also help in understanding the market's current trend and volatility state.
**How to Use**
Traders can customize the EMA periods to fit their trading horizon, be it short, medium, or long-term trading. The volatility filter and exit options allow for further customization, making the strategy adaptable to different market conditions and personal risk tolerance levels.
By offering a blend of trend-following principles with advanced risk management features, this strategy aims to cater to a wide range of trading styles, from cautious to aggressive. Its strength lies in its flexibility, allowing traders to fine-tune settings to their specific needs, making it a potentially valuable tool in the arsenal of any trader looking for a disciplined approach to navigating the markets.
MPF EMA Cross Strategy (8~13~21) by Market Pip FactoryThis script is for a complete strategy to win maximum profit on trades whilst keeping losses at a minimum, using sound risk management at no greater than 1.5%
The 3x EMA Strategy uses the following parameters for trade activation and closure.
1/ Daily Time Frame for trend confirmation
2/ 4 Hourly Time Frame for trend confirmation
3/ 1 Hourly Time Frame for trend confirmation AND trade execution
4/ 3x EMAs (Exponential Moving Averages)
* EMA#1 = 8 EMA (Red Color)
* EMA#2 = 13 EMA (Blue Color)
* EMA#3 = 21 EMA (Orange Color)
5/ Fanning of all 3x EMAs and CrossOver/CrossUnder for Trend Confirmation
6/ Price Action touching an 8 EMA for trade activation
7/ Price Action touching a 21 EMA for trade cancellation BEFORE activation
* For LONG trades: 8 EMA would be ABOVE 21 EMA
* For SHORT trades: 8 EMA would be BELOW 21 EMA
* For trade Cancellation, price action would touch the 21 EMA before trade is activated
* For trade Entry, price action would touch 8 EMA
Once trigger parameter is identified, entry is found by:
a) Price action touches 8 EMA (Candle must Close for confirmed Trade preparation)
b) Trade preparation can be cancelled before trade is activated if price action touches 21 EMA
c) Trailing Stop Loss can be used (optional) by counting back 5 candles from current candle
CLOSURE of a Trade is identified by:
e) 8 EMA crossing the 21 EMA, then close trade, no matter LONG or SHORT
f) Trail Stop Loss
IMPORTANT:
g) No more than ONE activated trade per EMA crossover
h) No more than ONE active trade per pair
NOTE: This strategy is to be used in conjunction with Cipher Twister (my other indicator) to reduce trades on
sideways price action and market trends for super high win ratio.
NOTE: Enabling of LONGs and SHORTs Via Cipher Twister is done by using the previous
green or red dot made. Additionally, when the trend changes, so do the dot's validity based
on being above or below the 0 centerline.

Strategy and Bot Logic
----------------------------
.....::: FOR SHORT TRADES ONLY :::.....
The Robot must use the following logic to enable and activate the SHORT trades:
Parameters:
$(crossunder)=8EMA,21EMA=Bearish $(crossover)=8EMA,21EMA=Bullish $entry=SELL STOP ORDER (Short)
$EMA#1 = 8 EMA (Red Color) $EMA#2 = 13 EMA (Blue Color) $EMA#3 = 21 EMA (Orange Color)
Strategy Logic:
1/ Check Daily Time Frame for trend confirmation if:
(look back up to 50 candles - find last cross of EMAs)
$(chart)=daily and trend=$(crossunder) then goto 2/ *Means: crossunder = ema21 > ema8
$(chart)=daily and trend=$(crossover) then stop (No trades) *Means: crossover = ema8 > ema21
NOTE: This function is switchable. 0=off and 1=on(active). Default = 1 (on)
2/ Check 4 Hourly Time Frame for trend confirmation if:
(look back up to 50 candles - find last cross of EMAs)
$(chart)=4H and trend=$(crossunder) then goto 3/ *Means: crossunder = ema21 > ema8
$(chart)=4H and trend=$(crossover) then stop (No trades) *Means: crossover = ema8 > ema21
NOTE: This function is switchable. 0=off and 1=on(active). Default = 1 (on)
3/ 1 Hourly Time Frame for trend confirmation AND trade execution if:
(look back up to 50 candles - find last cross of EMAs)
$(chart)=1H and trend=$(crossunder) then goto 4/ *Means: crossunder = ema21 > ema8
$(chart)=1H and trend=$(crossover) then stop (No trades) *Means: crossover = ema8 > ema21
4/ Trade preparation:
* if Next (subsequent) candle touches 8EMA, then set STOP LOSS and ENTRY
* $stoploss=3 pips ABOVE current candle HIGH
* $entry=3 pips BELOW current candle LOW
5/ Trade waiting (ONLY BEFORE entry is hit and trade activated):
* if price action touches 21 EMA then cancel trade and goto 1/
Note: Once trade is active this function does not apply !
6/ Trade Activation:
* if price activates/hits ENTRY price, then bot activates trade SHORTs market
7/ Optional Trailing stop:
* if active, then trailing stop 3 pips ABOVE previous HIGH of previous 5th candle
or * Move Stop Loss to Break Even after $X number of pips
NOTE: This means count back and apply accordingly to the 5th previous candle from current candle.
NOTE: This function is switchable. 0=off and 1=on(active). Default = 0 (off)
8/ Trade Close ~ Take Profit:
* Only TP when
$(chart)=1H and trend=$(crossover) then close trade ~ Or obviously if Stop Loss is hit if 7/ is activated.

* If an existing trade is already open for that same pair, & price action touches 8EMA, do NOT open a new trade..
* bot must continuously check if a trade is currently open on the pair that triggers
* New trades are to be only opened if there is no active trade opened on current pair.
* Only 1 trade per pair rule !
* 5 simultaneous open trades (not same pairs) default = 5 but value can be changed accordingly.

Combination Parabolic MA/IIR/ALMA Strategy, with other goodiesOkay, so this is a lot. It started mostly with me combining indicators and looking for ideal entry criteria.
It is also a collection of conditions, whether used or unused, for my current chosen "best" strategy. It is currently set how I like it, but it has changed with time, and will continue to do so. Within, there are variables that are unused, but offer some insight into the overall odds of a trade. They were, in fact, once used but fell out of favor. And all details for this strategy are within the comment header of the script.
As this evolves, I most certainly wont keep any future findings and hope for profit from my peers (yinz). Also, I'd like to give a sincere thanks to the people of TV for what I learned in a few month's time and their flexible membership plans. Basically, I'm just a mad scientist, but this monster's a masterpiece and folks here before me made many indirect contributions to it.
--------------------------
Okay guys, lastly and most importantly,
Each smack of the like button is a vote of your confidence in me, to my beautiful landladies, Celeste and Adele, that my rent will be caught up and that it won't always be a problem. Which, in my mind, makes me a graph. And they've got strong hands and don't sell the low. I more than respect that. Seriously. And I'm very grateful for their willingness to work with me, but the thing is that I didn't ask first; life just happens. But few are tolerant of others. And quite importantly, I truly believe that I will be successful one day, and that "thumbs-up" button is your vote of confidence. If you're not sure, then don't hit it yet. Maybe my scripts will boost your confidence in me :)
-------------------------
PS: And you know what? I'ma give a shout-out to Philakone for teaching me everything that I know about Elliot Wave . Absolutely. Two years ago, I would keep telling myself that one day I will put something in his gratuity wallet or pursue the paid courses. And, I still plan on it, because I'm grateful. And so also, to everybody else, I'm recommending him to learn from. because as a trader who might not know everything for free, you can certainly fill in the gaps with his altruistic offerings. And I'm betting that you will then feel more than inclined to buy the Udemy course.
"If wave 2 retraces a lot; number 4 will not". Repetition. Philakone didn't fix my memory but he sure did find a workaround, haha
Okay, everyone, Thanks!
EMA Crossover Strategy with 50 & 200 EMAs - Faisal AnwarThis indicator uses 50 and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) to identify significant trend directions and potential trading opportunities through golden crossovers and death crosses. It highlights the role of EMAs as dynamic support in uptrends and downtrends, enhancing trend-following strategies.
Detailed Explanation:
EMAs Used:
The strategy utilizes two key EMAs — the 50-day EMA and the 200-day EMA. The 50-day EMA is often seen as a medium-term trend indicator, while the 200-day EMA is regarded as a benchmark for the long-term market trend.
Golden Crossover:
This occurs when the 50-day EMA crosses above the 200-day EMA, traditionally considered a bullish signal indicating potential long positions.
Death Cross:
This event is marked by the 50-day EMA crossing below the 200-day EMA, typically viewed as a bearish signal suggesting potential short positions.
Trend Support Identification:
The script also identifies when the price is above the 50-day EMA during an uptrend (indicating ongoing support) and when the price is above the 200-day EMA during a downtrend, suggesting the EMA is acting as resistance turning into support.
Visual Tools:
The indicator plots these EMAs on the chart with distinct colors for easy differentiation and uses background color changes to visually indicate when these EMAs act as support. Buy and sell signals are clearly marked with shapes and text directly on the chart for actionable insights.
Usage Tips:
Trading Decisions:
This indicator is best used in markets with clear trends, where EMAs can effectively identify shifts in momentum and serve as reliable support or resistance levels.
Complementary Tools:
Consider combining this EMA strategy with other technical analysis tools like RSI or MACD for confirmation of signals to enhance the reliability of the trading signals.
Ideal for:
Traders looking for a visual tool to assist in identifying trend directions and optimal points for entering or exiting trades based on established technical analysis principles.

BTC VIP EMA CROSS Buy/Sell (GC & DC)EMA cross 5&10 standard-setting with add on of BUY/SELL signal ( GC & DC) which will make the traders have an indication of buy and sell easily and clearly.
An exponential moving average strategy, or EMA strategy, is used to identify the predominant trend in the market. It can also provide the support and resistance level to execute your trade. Indicators: v4 (default setting), EMA 5 10 Crossover (default setting)
Preferred Time Frame(s):15-Minute, 30-Minute, 1-Hour, 4-Hour, 1-Day
Strategy
Long Entry Rules
Enter a buy in the market if the following indicator or chart pattern takes center stage:
If the blue upward pointing arrow of the EMA 5 10 Crossover custom indicator gets aligned just somewhat below the candlesticks as seen in Fig. 1.0, the market sentiment is said to be bullish, hence a trigger to go long on the pair of interest.
If the light blue line of the custom indicator gets outlined just below price bars as illustrated in Fig. 1.0, price is said to be pushed somewhat higher i.e. a trigger to buy the asset of focus.
Exit Strategy/Take Profit for Buy Entry
Exit or take profit if the following rules or conditions takes precedence:
If the red downward pointing arrow of the EMA 5 10 Crossover custom indicator forms above price bars as depicted in Fig. 1.0 while a buy signal is ongoing in the market, a possible price dip is said to be looming, as such an exit or take profit is advised.
If the red line of the custom indicator forms above the candlestick during a bullish trend, it is a pointer to a possible price dip, hence an exit or take profit is advised.
Volume Weighted Exponential Moving Average Suite (VWEMA)This is a volume weighted exponential moving average (EMA) script that allows users to customize various parameters to fit their specific needs.
The script includes four different EMA styles: EMA, DEMA, TEMA, and EHMA. Users can choose which style they would like to use by selecting it in the input field. The script also allows users to customize the length of the EMA, with options for both a maximum and minimum length. Users can also choose to use a manual length or to use the dominant cycle within a range as the length.
In addition to these options, the script also includes the ability to turn on or off volume weighting and a daily reset feature that resets the EMA every day. There is also an option to turn on deviation bands, which show the standard deviation of the selected EMA.
Overall, this script offers a wide range of customization options to help users find the best EMA settings for their needs. It is an advanced tool that can be very helpful for traders looking to optimize their EMA strategy.

Trend Follower Strategy v2 [divonn1994]The Trend Follower Strategy that I made classifies red and green candles into tiny, small, and big sizes and will send buy or sell signals depending on if the candle is classified as "big" so you get into and out of a position when there is a big candle. Out during a big green candle to take profit. Out during a big red candle in case the market is turning down. It also won't enter a position unless there is positive EMA momentum.
For the chart there is a Buy and a Sell signal. Buy = 1, Sell = 0, and when the value crosses above or below 0.5 it will trigger a long position or close the long position. The graph isn't necessary to the strategy, but can help with visualizing the trade patterns in the past if you like.
This strategy works best so far with these coins at time of posting (March 4th, 2022):
KCSUSDT (621x profit), HTUSDT (45x profit), LUNAUSDT (45x profit), BNBBTC (1553x profit), ETHBTC (219x profit), KCSBTC (1222x profit), LUNABTC (83x profit), FTMBTC (52x profit).
It can work with other pairings, but I personally like these pairings best. I didn't test it with coins outside of the top 100 coins by market cap. Use it however you want.
Works best on 1 Day charts.
The strategy would rather be in the market than out. It gets out when it see's a red flag, but can immediately go back in in the next bar if the red flags are all gone. So it makes a lot of trades.

Update: This is the same strategy I uploaded before but I made the code Open for anyone to check it out and so it has a similar description as the previous version. Let me know what you think. I'd remove the old version if I could, but I guess it's site policy to not be able to remove scripts that have been uploaded.

255 EMA Strategy//--- From 15 Trading Examples by Trader Alyx ---
// Seems like this strategy works better if we reverse the EMA filter logic.
// "Description: This basic scalping strategy allows you to enter the market based upon sentiment
// provided by the EMA, set at 255 periods. When price is trading below the 255 EMA, you would
// look to enter a LONG BUY positions, and when price is trading above the 255 EMA, you would
// look to enter a SELL SHORT position. The MACD lagging indicator will show you clear signals for
// when to do this. When the MACD lines cross in a bullish manner and price is below the 255
// EMA, buy. When the MACD lines cross in a bearish manner and price is above the 255 EMA,
// sell.
// NOTE: Make sure that price is trading away from the 255EMA before entering a LONG or SHORT
// position. As you can see in the chart below, the clearest signs for trade entry were presented
// when price was trading AWAY from the 255EMA"
3 EMA Stochastik RSI ATR SL TP only LONGHey there!
Here i will show you the 3 EMA RSI Stochastic Crossover strategy with an ATR SL and TP.
The strategy works as follows:
For long positions, the EMA's must be in the following order:
The 8 E M A must be above the 14 E M A and the 14 E M A must be above the 50 E M A.
The buy signal is given to us by the Stochastic RSI indicators.
The K line must cross the D line above. The following candle must then close above all E M A's.
The stop loss is determined by three times the value of the ATR.
The take profit is determined by two times the value of the ATR.
In this strategy only long positions are traded.

EMA Trading StrategyThis script is based on exponential moving average strategy, or EMA strategy, is used to identify trends on the chart.
When EMA 20 and 55 are above EMA 200 and EMA 20 is green, this shows an uptrend, good for a long.
When EMA 20 turns red then it's time to sell.
